Aisling inbetweened - Inbetweening Class

Here is my inbetweened animation of Aisling from 'The Secret of Kells' - the Oscar nominated feature from the Irish animation studio 'Cartoon Saloon'. For this class we had Meelis Arulepp from Estonia as our teacher. We were given an un-inbetweened animation, and then we were to fill it out with the missing drawings.

Design Class

These drawings are from Design Class with Lawrence Marvit - a very difficult, but incredibly interesting and very relevant class. During this week we were asked to make designs from tasting dark chocolate and listening to Miles Davis. Very difficult indeed!

From an exercise where all the squares had to be different sizes and the overall design should be dynamic and nothing could be the same. An exercise you can never finish.

From the 'Horror' or 'Romance' assignment.
Hope you can tell which one I chose..

The design I came up with after listening to the album 'Kind of Blue' by Miles Davis

This one was made after tasting the darkest chocolate I have ever eaten. I can definitely say that I am more of a milk chocolate person :)

Stitch and Fruit

Very unfinished assignment, but I do think I learned a lot during these two weeks of 'Drawing for Animation'.

Construction & Perspective class

These drawings were made for the class 'Construction & Perspective', which was actually our very first class, I just haven't gotten around to posting them. But here they are now! These three were done while we worked with layouts that had to focus either on foreground, middleground or background. The fox is a character that was put in in the blue layout.
